This is a lecture series in which curators and artists working on practices related to the public sphere are invited to speak during the summer intensive course of the HIPS program.

\u2605Schedule and Outline\u2605<\/strong>\uff08Google Drive\uff09 \u21e8Mariko Sugita, a researcher on architecture and urbanism who runs the design project “For Cities,” will talk about the relationship between urban space and design based on her experience working in various countries around the world.<\/li>\n \u21e8Minako Yoshino, who is a New York City-based Japanese fine artist, has a rare experiences of creative activities in abroad, including the creation of Holocaust memorials. She will talk about the landscape that sculpture shapes and the way public spaces should be.<\/li>\n \u21e8Takashi Arai, a photographer and videographer based in Kawasaki and Berlin, has mastered the daguerreotype, an old method of taking photographs, and has published his works using this technique to take pictures of the Daigo Fukuryu Maru.
