We had the 1st online meeting of the fiscal year 2026-2027.

We had the 1st online meeting of LMA of the fiscal year 2026 on the 10th of June. We welcome Prof. Hirata as a new member, and then shared the experiences of last visit of Dakar and Medina Sabakh among the attendants.

Very good news was shared by one member that he has received an official document from ANA (National Agency of Aquaculture) of Senegal stating that they will fully cooperate with our practical social implementation activity in Medina Sabakh, and they will soon begin investigating the site. All the members were happy to learn that the women in Medina Sabakh would soon be able to take the next step!

Another big issue is that we will hold an international symposium in Tokyo in March, as an important step toward a collective volume of our joint research. The dates are already fixed between the 15th and 17th of March in 2027, and we discussed some details of the theme. We have decided to hold several online meetings to develop our ideas until the dates of the symposium!
