From the 1st of May to the 6th, 2018, a student from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) participated in a reforestation program as a volunteer. In addition to sponsoring the reforestation program, the Musashi-Tama-Khabarovsk Association is also responsible for conducting Russian nature experience events, as well as intercultural activities involving Russian citizens. The association also provides support (such as surveys) to environmental protection efforts, such as protecting the Siberian Tiger and other wildlife.
This year’s reforestation project, The 2018 Reforestation Volunteer Tour in Khabarovsk, was recognized as an official activity of the “Japan Year in Russia” program. Reporting on the project was done by Gubernia broadcasting station on the third of May.
