[TUFS] On January 30, 2019, two COIL-type classes were held (winter semester: January-February 2019).

From January 30 to February 1, 2019, the first two COIL-type courses were held with US partner universities. One course was on World War II, with Prof. Nobuo Haruna from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and Prof. Setsu Shigematsu from the University of California Riverside. The other course was on literature, with Prof. Raj Lakhi Sen from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and Prof. Margherita Long from UC Irvine. In the former course, we discussed the movie Barefoot Gen in an online discussion, and in the latter, we discussed the literature written after earthquakes. Both courses were very successful as they developed discussions on their themes from various perspectives.
