On Friday, February 28, 2020, the second external evaluation committee was held for a review of the second year of this project which was the first year of the Reiwa period in the Japanese calendar. The meeting was supposed to be held face to face but was conducted online due to COVID-19. The committee members were: Mr. Ichiro Kabasawa of the Nippon Foundation, Prof. Yoshiaki Mihara from Hitotsubashi University, Mr. Toshiyuki Takasaki from NPO Pangea, Prof. Toru Iiyoshi from Kyoto University, Prof. Shigeru Miyagawa from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Prof. George T. Sipos from University of Missouri St. Louis. The committee members recognized the progress of the project and gave feedbacks in terms of the format of COIL type classes and evaluation method. We appreciate these feedbacks and reflect those opinions for the development of the project.
